1. Find a great local pub: you know the hidden gems in your area (and stick with it!)
2. Build a community: Commit to regular events for at least 1 year (monthly or every other month)
3. Promote the event to your local network
4. Engage and be active in your regional Host Community
5. Share stories, capture photos and videos of your events (and recruit content volunteers)
6. Represent the PPP brand in your area – Maintain an open, judgment-free space that encourages sharing and inclusivity.

So you become a host…
You take the leap, and start to invite people locally to your PPP.
You eagerly watch the registrations come in, and you’re a bit nervous on the first night. But you shouldn’t have worried – more people than expected turn up, from old friends to new faces!
6 months later you’re a local celebrity! You’re now known as the leader of sustainability in your town and you’re being asked to speak at events and are facilitating partnerships between organisations.
After a year of commitment, it starts to run itself, and each month you have a core group of people who turn up with a regular rotating set of new people who are discovering it through the networks that you’ve built.
You’ve built a tribe of your own: You’ve cured your own climate isolation, and that of hundreds locally too!
There’s a basic admin fee for the entry level tier, which helps cover your event materials. Think of it as your starter kit for success!
If you’d like to go further, with custom support, branding, higher tiers are available. You’re also welcome to bring in local Partners or Sponsors to cover the costs of custom support.
Absolutely. Many People, Planet, Pint events are co-hosted, which can make it easier and more fun. It’s a great way to share responsibilities and bring different people into the mix.
Typically we expect hosts to allow for 1 day a month to cover admin and outreach, as well as hosting on the night. We provide resources to make everything simple and efficient.
The honest answer is yes! We can’t be everything for everyone, and feel that pubs are the best way to reach a large group of the population who are already meeting up. We have tried alternative and more inclusive formats, however these have not worked as well and took a lot of resource.
As part of training, we provide you full step by step outreach processes and audience insights to ensure you have everything you need to not only run a successful event, but provide a huge amount of impact too.
We have no strict rules, but find that Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays work best. A lot of this will depend on the location.
No, in fact it’s often the case that pubs will offer discounts! If you’re regularly bringing 30+ people to the pub, you’ve got a good case to make for discounts.
